I made this comic solely to explain how the interview went, so please ignore how ugly it looks. This was easier than trying to just write it down for me.
I am a very emotional person especially when I’m nervous, so this event hit me quite hard.

Ugh..I just…Everyone, let’s support our art student buddies. They are beautiful and need all the love.
Besides the ususal answer that ‘digital art is not liked to be seen, because it’s not real art’ this is the most crushing thing one can be told. To be told that the thing you’re doing, enjoying for years, making other people happy with it isn’t art is equal to ‘it’s worthless’
People have different tastes and different opinions and still we have to follow the rules of those schools to get into the ‘real scene’ of the artist society. And to me it often looks like if we don’t bend our style and our taste in images and concepts all in all we don’t have a chance to be accepted as we are. And this makes me really sad
I was told by my tutor that I should rather start practicing photography stopmotion or animation (but in a different style than now) or even do a graffiti or something rather than drawing illustrations for the entry exam because they’re just plain boring (and so are comics).
I don’t know whether I could make my point clear here, but this really upsets me, this is actually all I wanted to say u _ u
